Why I hate Superman
Superman is supposed to serve all humanity.
So why is it that only Lois Lane and a handful of other (predominantly American) dudes ever get saved from impending doom?
Are there no other tragedies in the world?
Sure, it's a flimsy premise for hatred. But that's never stopped me before.
Oh, internet!
Please explain to me Superman's justification for his (adoptive) ethnocentrism?

I can't explain his enthnocentrism... But I can support your hatred of him. Cannot STAND Superman.
He's smug.
He's a crap journalist.
He has pathetic taste in women (even if they ARE brunette)...
Hope that helps!
* SNORT! *
I will happily add
"he's a crap journalist"
to my list.
the americans are worthy.
Of course!

I have thought way too hard about this and I think that the basic problem is that if one is watching the news in a smallish southern or mid-Western state, one will actually hear the phrase "And now to world news. In California today..."
Despite extensive research (well, watching Smallville a few times) I have never seen Clark Kent watching CNN. I'm pretty sure that barn didn't even have a satellite dish on it. The most likely explanation is that Superman
simply doesn;t know that the rest of the world is even there.
Which proves my longstanding theory that the world would be a better place if Superman had access to pay TV.
I need to get out of the house occassionally, don't I?
Yes INCraig, but how did he get so smug if he is, as you say, a complete yokel (albeit an alien one)?
I reckon there's a thesis in "the world would be a better place if Superman had access to pay TV"
Superman sticks to America because so much of America needs saving that he just doesn't have time to go elsewhere? Look at how many times Lois Lane gets herself in a fix and needs rescuing, multiply by number of Superman acquaintances......
