Brusha brusha brusha*
Does anyone else remember when toothpaste used to come in metal (possibly aluminium) tubes?
The end of the toothpaste was always accompanied by the quest to eke out the last bit without the metal cracking with fatigue.
But inevitably it would, and the toothpaste oozing out in tiny worms out the side.
And then you'd brush up the tiny worms and they'd get mixed up with flecks of white and red paint.
We may all now have Alzheimers. But at least our teeth are lovely.
Good times, the 80s. Good times.
* And yes, that's a Grease reference.

If we all had alzheimers, then how would we remember that toothpaste used to come in those tubes?
the worst was when a tube was relatively new, but you squeezed too hard and made a hole in the back. And for the rest of the time you used that tube you had to try squeeze the gaps together while squeezing out toothpaste to avoid it getting all over your fingers...
INCraig,
I don't know. WHO ARE YOU????
Helen,
Argh! I'd forgotten about that. Ew.
Ew! Yeah. Good memories from the 80s.
At least we missed out on lead paint (kinda), asbestos (not) and lead toy soldiers (if you ignore some recent toys out of China...).
And now I totally have that Brusha Brusha song in my head!
I also remember those little plastic thingies that clipped onto the tube and you slid it up to get every last drop of that thick vile toothpaste out.
In other news I am thinking of getting my blog back on. Maybe next month.
...Or what about the short-lived 'convenient pump pack' toothpaste, which was anything but? Made me shiver in me Kiaks-pearls-and-panelled jeans, that did....
Let me in Sean, Let me in...
